My Name and About It:

Reid Wason. There's a big story there - I'm namedafter a man who wasn't rich, or famous, or even called Reid. I was named  after a man called John Smith. I really do not understand what the hell is going on there. Reid is also Celtic, or Latin or something, for red-haired. Those of you who've seen my picture will appreciate this littleco-incidence. Wason...I really don't know. Son of Wa? Who's Wa? Sounds Chinese, but I'm not Chinese. But if you go back a little way on my dad's side, you can find a portrait of my great-great-great-grandfather or someone that was born in France. Wason...say it like the French word garcon and we may we'll have a match.

My Heritage Groups:

Gah, I'm so embarassingly white. All of my relatives are typical white british. My grandad even reads the Daily Mail. Good god! However, within England, wecome from slightly different places. My father comes from Surrey\Kent, i.e. Poshland UK. My mothercomes from Ruislip in Northwest London. My great-grandparents live in Great Yarmouth andAscot. My aunts and uncles live in Ruislip, Devon, Redhill... all over the place. And then my immediate family,we all live in East Ham, near a football stadium. Somewhat less posh. But I like it that way :)

Heritage Nationalities:

Not really applicable to me. My gran is partly Welsh, if it helps.

About my Heritage Country:

England was founded ages ago by a man called Alfred the Great. Itwas then invaded several times, especially by the French. Soon enough, we got tired of beinginvaded and started wreaking havoc upon Africa, America, and Asia, and lots of lives were lost. The English were then responsible for such atrocities as slavery, colonisation, genocide, dictatorships, and all the other things we're trying to forget about by repeatedly not watching the news. We then engulfed our neighbours, Wales and Scotland, and went overseas to Ireland.

Living in such a multicultural place now, it's nice to see everybody's even again, and we don'ttry and colonise each other's neighbourhoods. The climate is coolly temperate, the wind blows polluted air at us, our capital city is London, and we are lead by Prime Minister Anthony Blair, who seems to want to put us back into our old war-going days by joining us in on everything America now does.Whenever you find an English person proud of their heritage, give them a small reminder of how things used to be.

What I Look Like:

Is it really important? Alright...I'm quite pale-skinned, ridiculously skinny...my hair is red-brown (Aubruns? Auburns? Meh, red-brown then) and long. It is also curly, which I find extremely annoying at the best of times. I wear blue, black, and red clothes, andapart from school uniform no other colours. Wouldn't be seen dead in green =P. Some people liketo think I'm a grunger, a goth, or some other stereotype to be afraid of. It is true that I hang around with such people, and like their clothes and music, but I don't perfectly fit into either of those groups.

What I Believe:

In terms of religion, I believe we should contradict every religion ever created. I dislike fundamentalism, and I really hate religions which believe they have authority just because they're 4000 years old. I'm not just an atheist, I'm a devout atheist. If thereis someone up there, or out there, or wherever, he has my full respect. Just not my belief. Sorry.
