My name is Danielle. It means
'God is my judge'. It is a Hebrew name and orginally comes form the Bible. It comes from
the name 'Danyel'. I am 12 years old and I go to Trinity Catholic High School. I was born in London and grew up there. I was born in this community. I think that this community in which I live in is very culturally diverse. This is a good thing as I get to meet many people who are very different from me. I would consider myself as British Asian. The reason why I am partly Asian is because my parents come from India. Both my parents were born in South India in a state called Kerala. My Grandad came here first and then my Mum and Dad got married. Then they came over to England. I mainly speak English but I also speak a little Malyalam. I mainly read English but I can also read a little French and Spanish. Even though my parents sometimes listen to Malayalam music I tend to only listen to English music. I am a Roman Catholic. I go to Church every Sunday at St Thomas of Canterbury. I used to go to St Michael's Church where I had my Holy Communion and Baptism. Although we live in a diverse community I hope that this benefit will not be abused. Some people may be racist because of the many different types of people. I hope that this will not get in the way of the wonderful community.
